Our History
The inspiration behind Queen & Grant's namesake comes from its location and history: situated on Grant Street and overlooking ‘Queen Square’, Queen and Grant was established with historical elements of both past and present in mind.
In 1771, the Council of the Royal Colony of Georgia laid out the city of Brunswick, which featured 14 large and small squares spaced evenly among residential and commercial land lots. Queen Square was named to honor the royal rulers of Britain. (Source: signaturesquares.org) In the early 1900’s, our historic building was home to Kentucky stock saddle horses at Oglethorpe Stables.
